Incidents involving other agencies that require our assistance. Aside from our main roles, we can also be called to assist other agencies for whatever they may need. This could include helping paramedics lift a patient that has fallen over, or helping SES with a flood salvage.

Response area

Hamilton Fire Brigade's standard response area is split into 2 zones, 'HAMI1' and 'HAMI2'. The difference between the 2 zones is which other closest brigades would be initially paged to support us if required.

Specialty callouts such as high / steep angle rescues or HAZMAT incidents however, have a far greater response area, potentially up to 250km away.

Further to our standard response area, Hamilton is also the standard supporting brigade for structure fires in the immediate surrounding area including Dunkeld, Penshurst, Coleraine, Branxholme and more.
